Important: Annual Ohio BWC Training Requirements (SUPR)

IMPORTANT BWC COMPLIANCE REMINDER

Don't Put Your BWC Program Eligibility or Your Ability to Bid Public Work in Ohio at Risk

Required employee education and supervisor training must be completed to remain compliant with Ohio BWC's Substance Use Prevention and Recovery Program (SUPR). Employers bidding on state construction projects must meet the requirements of the SUPR Basic, Advanced or Comparable level.

Supervisors: 1 to 3 p.m.

Employees: 2 to 3 p.m.

Employee + Supervisor Training

Participating employers must maintain a written drug-free workplace policy and provide annual education about the policy and the dangers of workplace substance use. Depending on the participation level, additional testing, employee-assistance, accident-analysis and reporting requirements may apply.

Failure to complete program requirements could result in loss of SUPR eligibility and applicable BWC premium bonuses. For certain state-funded public improvement projects, noncompliance could also affect contract eligibility.
